Recently, I was listening to a news report about movies and sound design. The reporter was interviewing a sound engineer, Al Nelson, about the 2025 movie race-car film F1: The Movie with Brad Pitt.
Nelson detailed all the steps necessary to produce an accurate depiction of how cars sound like on various circuits. He noted that there is a large enough F1 fan base out there that the Internet would explode with criticism if they got the sound of even one track incorrect.
