The National Deer Association (NDA) presented its 2025 Professional Deer Manager of the Year Award to Dr. Mike Tonkovich, the recently retired deer program administrator for the Ohio DNR (ODNR) Division of Wildlife.
This national award recognizes Tonkovich’s 31 years of exceptional service, dedication to scientific expertise, and profound impact on the stewardship of Ohio’s robust white-tailed deer population.
