Expiration near for crossbow ‘sunset’ in Minnesota?

Published: , in Outdoor News

The House Environment and Natural Resources Finance and Policy Committee last week passed HF1531, which would remove the so-called “sunset” expiration date for allowing the use of crossbows during the Minnesota archery hunting season.
It is authored by Rep. Josh Heintzeman, R-Nisswa. Rep. Sydney Jordan, DFL-Minneapolis, worked with Heintzeman to pass the bill ahead of the 2026 bowhunting season so people can continue using crossbows as they have the past three years.
