Wisconsin’s Iola Conservation Club hosts first all-girl hunter education class

Published: , in Outdoor News

Teaching a hunter education class is nothing new for Scott Bestul, who’s been doing it for 40 years.
His latest class, held over five sessions March 10-19 at the Iola Conservation Club, turned out to be a first for the avid hunter and Conservation Congress delegate for Waupaca County. All 12 students are girls, which Bestul said hasn’t happened in any of his classes over his four decades of volunteer instruction.
