Snowy winter days are prime time for cottontails

Small game hunters across Pennsylvania have just a few more days to enjoy the final spoils of February’s waning hunting season. Whenever the skies open and provide a gift of fresh snowfall, conditions for success improve — especially on those calm, sunny mornings when cottontails can’t resist coming out to explore a landscape full of white after a recent snow.
