New York man convicted in ivory sales case

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and New York County District Attorney’s Office recently announced the conviction of a Rockland County, N.Y., man for felony illegal commercialization of elephant ivory.
The subject had approximately $70,000 worth of ivory. The conviction concludes a joint investigation that first began in 2020.
