Snow geese making their way across North Dakota

Published: , in Outdoor News

Duck hunting may be closed for another six months, but waterfowl hunters still have a reason to take to the water and fields with their shotguns. The Spring Light Goose Conservation Order offers an opportunity for waterfowlers to pursue snow geese, blue geese, and Ross’s geese in North Dakota now through May 12.
Eric Wilson, manager of the Tewaukon National Wildlife Refuge, has observed thousands of snows, blues, and Ross’s geese arriving in North Dakota in recent weeks.
