New game land in Philadelphia ready for bowhunters

Residents of Philadelphia won’t have to travel far to bowhunt this fall, with the opening of a new state game land within the city.
The 17.88-acre tract, which was donated to the Pennsylvania Game Commission by a local development corporation, is now State Game Land 339 and the only such property in Philadelphia County.
