Outdoor Insights: Keep Minnesota’s public land public

On Friday, April 5, some state conservation groups are hosting a 3 p.m. public lands rally at the Minnesota State Capitol. The weatherman calls for a balmy 52 degrees and sun, but a chill wind might just penetrate the building’s corridors, because these days, public lands face threats from across the political spectrum.
In 2024 we have state and federal Democrats feverishly working to assuage their white guilt and right history’s wrongs by transferring public properties – currently open to all races, creeds, and colors – to tribal entities.
