Minnesota legislators debate corn-growing on state lands as session resumes

The 2024 legislative session took a brief pause starting at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27, as legislators had a long weekend for Easter. They returned to the State Capitol on Tuesday, April 2.
Even though it was short, there was a few committee hearings and a handful of bills were passed or laid over earlier in the week. There were also a few bills introduced and scheduled to have a hearing the first week of April as financial omnibus bills will be due later in April.
