MN-FISH to meet with Minnesota DNR about Mille Lacs

Published: , in Outdoor News

A pair of angling advocacy organizations, led by the MN-FISH Sportfishing Coalition, sent a letter to DNR Commissioner Sarah Strommen a week ago citing their concerns about the 2024 walleye regulation for Lake Mille Lacs. The DNR recently announced that walleye fishing on the lake will be catch and release when the inland waters season begins May 11.
Mark Holsten, MN-FISH executive director, said there’s been conversation between the group and the DNR to meet soon, though they haven’t yet set a date.
