Paddlefish-snagging season in North Dakota nears

Anglers are gearing up for the reopening of paddlefish-snagging season in northwestern North Dakota. The North Dakota Game and Fish Department announced the season will commence once again May 1.
The history of the American paddlefish dates back to when dinosaurs roamed the earth, with fossils dating back as far as 60 million years ago, found in the Missouri River basin near the Fort Peck Reservoir in Montana.
