Latest Minnesota moose survey shows increase from 2025
Published: , in Outdoor News
The most recent Minnesota moose population estimate is approximately 4,470 animals, according to the Minnesota DNR’s 2026 population survey. That’s up about 10% from the 2025 state moose population estimate of about 4,040 animals.
Results suggest that after a steep decline from a population estimate of 8,000 in 2009, Minnesota’s moose population appears to have somewhat leveled.
