Pennsylvania’s Old Crow Wetland being degraded in Huntingdon County

Published: , in Outdoor News

Although there was some activity at the Rutter’s construction site in Smithfield Township near Huntingdon during the winter, all construction work stopped at the end of September. Heavy equipment has been removed from the site by the contractor.
At this point, there has been much earth movement and the construction of a large retaining wall on the downslope sides of the property. Acres of disturbed earth are exposed – some covered with straw.
